Nearly a hundred-year-old hostel on Stog Izerski is located at an altitude of 1060 m above sea level. Its convenient location near the Polish-Czech border makes it a popular destination for tourists hiking to Smrek.
The facility offers 50 beds, in rooms accomodating from two to ten people and of different standards. The hostel is famous for its cuisine - two buffets serve traditional Polish dishes (warming goulash soup, pierogi, highlander bigos) and homemade cakes. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the panorama of Świeradow-Zdrój and the western Karkonosze Mountains.
The PTTK Mountain Hut on Stóg Izerski is one of the oldest mountain huts in the Izera Mountains, founded in 1924. It is located at an altitude of 1,060 meters above sea level, in the northwestern part of the Izera Mountains, near the border with the Czech Republic. It is the westernmost mountain hut in Poland.

Important hiking trails converge near the shelter: the yellow trail to Hala Izerska, the green trail to Czerniawa-Zdrój, the red trail to Hala Szrenicka, and a path toward Smrek (about 50 minutes to the Czech side).
