The Black Mill is a living Bread Museum, an open-air museum where visitors can take part in workshops mimicking the ancient process of bread baking - "from seed to loaf". The facility is located in an old 19th-century watermill.
To this day, you can admire the original equipment of the mill, renovated in 2011-2012. It allowed the launching of a replica of the water wheel and adapting the buildings for the disabled. The living Bread Museum presents old milling and baking equipment in three rooms: Bread Room, Devil's Wheel Room, and Technology Room. One of the biggest attractions is a 100-year-old working bread oven. Worth seeing are also the Feast Hall and Herbs and Plants Garden. The specialty of the Devil's Mill is bread baked on site, served with lard and pickles or with freshly whipped butter.
